Who we are:
The Tui Na and De Da Association of South Africa (TDASA) is a national organisation representing practitioners and students of Tui Na and De Da.
Vision and Mission Statement:
We envisage Tui Na and De Da, an ancient system of Chinese Medicine, being fully recognised as a core health modality within South Africa. Our mission is to ensure the development of Tui Na and De Da as a healing practice and the preservation and cultivation of the ancient Chinese system of healing and training within South Africa. Recognising the origins of Chinese medicine in ancient Chinese culture, TDASA brings together Chinese medicine practitioners, students and other stakeholders to network and ensure high standards of training.
Aims and Objectives:
- To promote the development of Tui Na and De Da within South Africa;
- To advocate for full recognition and ensure the preservation and cultivation of the ancient system; ensuring that only recognised training is conducted and that students adhere to the principles of these systems and to the highest standard of training;
- To lobby for an appropriate legislative framework for regulation of Tui Na and De Da;
- To advance the understanding and acceptance of the principles of Tui Na and De Da through conducting research, participating in conferences and contributing to the body of literature;
- To network and maintain links with relevant organisations, authorities and professional bodies, both nationally and internationally;
- To bring together members to share information, skills and experiences to further advance and improve the practice of Tui Na and De Da in South Africa
- To attract and seek funding and resources for the development of Tui Na and De Da; for the conducting of research and for the providing of clinics and other forms of assistance;
